So they say, The World is a Stage!

For someone said, the world is a stage

And all of us the characters in the play

I often wonder if this is true

Or has God decided roles for only few

For I surely didn't pay any heed

As I have no clue of the duration of my deed

For me I am just an extra on a stroll

Trying to fit myself in the main lead role

Though neither do I have the knack

Nor do I think I can fit in the pack

Still I try and try really hard

And I know one day I’ll be barred

But it’s strange to know the curiosity you rave

For what cannot be yours is all what you crave

But then again, is it the truth or an act

For the world is a stage and that’s a fact

What you do and how you perform

In the end it’s just another art form.

The Gypsy Girl!

There she walks wild and untamed,

A mysterious creature, a fantasy unnamed.

With half a dozen bracelets jingling on her wrist,

Her scarlet of dress,

Dipped in honey and mist

Her long dark brown mane

Flowing on its own name

Her deep black eyes

Rich and heady as summer wine

She's a knights’ dream

A desire of the men in the realm

But still she walks lost in her thoughts

Unaware of the battles long fought

For she's a woman not meant to be bound

She's breathes the vigour of the nature around

No one knows what she’s looking for

She’s an abstraction she herself cannot define

With aura of a diamond and pureness of a pearl

She’s no one but the Gypsy Girl!

Deep Into the Abyss!

So here I was walking on my cloud,

Happy and gay on my stout

And there I just miss a step

And Fell deep in to the abyss

It was dark all around

With my hands and feet on the ground

It was a fall, a great fall

I couldn't walk,and had to crawl

I searched and searched around in the dark

With my blind eyes trying to hark

Waited there like forever

I thought I'll see my light never

And then like a phoenix it came

Rising from the dust below me

It took me on its wings

On its shiny neck I cling

And then when I saw the light

It was the most precious moment of my life

Once on the ground I reached, I realized

The wings that brought me to the spring

Were nothing but my, my very own wings

And now I could claim the sky

Feel the wind and let my hair fly

For I have risen, from the dust

And found my wings deep in the abyss

At the End of the World!

Listening to the sound of waves crashing on the shore,

The white surf gently lapping on the floor,

I realized that I am at the end of the world.

The grey, white clouds in the sky interwoven

I wish I could take a piece of it as a token.

The endless waves rising in the sea,

With the birds flying around so free!

I realized that I am at the end of the world.

It is here where I found the new beginning,

Of life’s another brand new inning

Another chance I am ready to take

Don’t know if my heart will mend or break

It’s been so long since I have seen the stars,

Without the inhibition of being so far!

So here I start with the thoughts very few

So at the end of the world I write my story anew!

Its all around!

In a blink it comes, in a blink it goes!

It’s like a mirage for all you know.

I can see it with my eyes open

I can feel it in my sleep so often

It’s like my lover’s arms all around me

It’s like the soft caress with love so free

It’s the desire that makes me smile

It’s the thought Oh! So free of guile

It’s not only for me, but also for the life around

It’s available on the earth in leaps and bound

It’s called Hope, the tiny little thing

It’s like a dope, with a heady feeling

It gives you a chance, a new wish, a chance to heal

It makes you cling to your life with a little more zeal

Though it is fragile,

Comes and goes on its own like

But it’s still there all around

Available on the earth in leaps and bound!

The art of giving!

At times, Happiness is not just merely a word!

It’s an experience, a heartfelt and wholesome experience

It doesn’t come to you by itself; it comes to you by giving

Life is not always about yourself and your own!

It’s about the people, whom you love and some of them totally unknown

For people talk about the art of living

All I believe is in the art of giving.

Leave the worries aside, do something for others

You’ll find your pain has a lesser meaning; cause the pain around is much more.

Be thankful to nature that you are alive and healthy

And nature with thank you in return, though in ways which are stealthy

Life is to live, to be alive but sometimes not only for you but for others lives!

Romeo and Juliet!

Romeo met Juliet on the road!

Asked her “You be my princess and I be your toad!

Kiss me once and make me new

You are the one I need of few!”

Juliet seemed to be unimpressed

And Said

“Oh your love is nothing new,

But, What I want can you do?

For I don’t ask for the sun or the moon,

I don’t care if you are a king or a goon.

All I want is your promise of forever

You'll not leave me whatsoever!”

Romeo was happy, as he though it as a promise easy to make

So he said, “Oh I promise the love forever, for I’ll leave you never!”

On this the Juliet said, “It’s not easy as you say,

As my promise is more than a fray

I want you to live, if I die!

Your strength is the one on which I rely!

For if you live I’ll survive

In your dreams our love will revive

Then will it be a tale on which lovers thrive!”

Romeo smiled though with tears in his eyes

And said, you are the one I am living for,

You have given me the happiness, I couldn’t imagine more

But if this is your will and this is your choice

I’ll do no more and rejoice

For I’ll live and I’ll love,

I’ll make the living worth

For it is not the glory I’ll flaunt;

To live in your memories is all I want!

Life as we Call It!

So many wheels moving on the road,

People with their hearts half with god!

So many hopeful eyes waiting for the bus,

All their minds working from dawn to dusk!

It’s life as they call it

It’s a game we everyday play!

There are rules and no rules

Paths we follow sometimes like a mule!

Stop here for second; give your life a serious thought!

You live on nature's terms whether you like it or not!

But, it still is your life; it still is your world

Make it better place till you think you have reversed the odd!

She Kept Standing on the Shimmering Street!

She kept standing on the shimmering street,

In spite of the scorching heat,

Hoping that he would come and meet,

And like a doll’s treat,

He was hardly capable of such a feat,

Then too,

She kept standing on the shimmering street…

Thinking of days gone by,

She took a deep sigh,

And kept herself a lie,

That it is worth giving a try,

She kept standing on the shimmering street….

At day’s end she looked back,

Of time she had lost track,

And patience she never did lack,

So she thought someone will come back

Yet again he did not come,

Yet again she dint go home,

 And,

She kept standing on the shimmering street….

It wasn’t surprising,

That the moon was now shining,

But her heart was still whining,

For she still wished to find the silver lining,

Just feeling her heart melt,

Emptiness she never before felt,

With eyes damp, looking like a tramp,

She lit the same old lamp,

Taking out the now weathered dairy,

Still hoping for the wish-fairy,

She Wrote the same old story,

Still wishing for days of glory,

She kept standing on the shimmering street…

But,

Sometime, somewhere this has to end

The impossible dream needs to be mend

Life doesn’t stop, nor does the living

For she’s a pure soul, and surely needs loving

So it will happen, the liveliness will come

The tears will dry; happiness is all she’ll hum

And still she’ll go to her long lost soul

The soul she lost standing on the shimmering street!

So She Thought!

And so it broke,

The fragile hope

So it shattered the heart of glass

Leaving the pain on its own to pass

It will take its toll,

It will destroy her whole

For what she thought as the ultimate dream

It has become an incarcerated scream

It longs to escape,

She can only sit and gape!

But

She knows she’ll survive, because that’s what she has been taught

She knows she’ll live because this life is all she got

Though her eyes will not shine

But her mouth will not let out any whine

And this time will pass

Making the ache as permanent as brass

But she’ll survive because on her shoulder a responsibility lies

She’ll live because only living will remind her of his lies!
